AmyloosLiterature: 'The Girl On The Train' Review

Many of my followers on the blog will know by now that I am a bookoholic, and am without a doubt addicted to reading. One of my life long ambitions is to become a famous author of young adult fantasy/fiction novels. Throughout all the different paths I could walk down, one remains constant and that is to see my own book, printed and polished, sat there immaculate on the shelf of my favourite book shop, in all its glory. I imagine my face bursting with pride in that moment. I'm a strong believer that you should do the things you have a true and honest passion for, and that is what I'm going to do on my Youtube channel. If I wasn't enjoying the material myself, it would be the biggest joke to expect anyone else to like and route for what I'm doing, so its a really important point to make. I wanted to share with you my first ever book video, in which I review the famous 'The Girl On The Train' by 'Paula Hawkins'. Since making it and uploading it online I have decided to create a series of videos titled 'AmyloosLiterature', in which I will review books either by request or based on my own personal opinions. I've learnt that this is the kind of material I thoroughly enjoy making, but my channel will also be a mixture of beauty, music and lifestyle, other passions of mine. I know that not everybody likes these kinds of videos, not everybody likes to read, and I totally respect that. So if you haven't already, and its something you'd like to do, please take the time to have a browse through my channel, and who knows? Maybe you'll find something that tiggles your fancy. I always appreciate feedback from you guys, and thank you for continuing to read 'Amyloosworld'.

Much loves to all my followers, and any new readers out there! x

Textured Waves & Summer Glow

Hello everyone! Just lately I've become really tiresome of my hair, particularly now that I have a raging tot running around, causing havoc, using my long locks as a piece of rope to climb on. I've also died the hell out of it over the years, which hasn't helped things at all. As a result my hair is now very dry, damaged, and the wild garden of split ends runs free. I even hear a few cringe worthy *snaps* from time to time...it is really hard being a mum. I just felt that it was time to give my hair some serious TLC, now that summer is speeding towards us, so I've been taking extra special care. I rarely use any styling tools, especially now that I've bleached my hair, I definitely don't need the extra damage, when I have my own personal master of destruction.

I'm currently loving the sexy beach waves for the summer months, and I think its always nice to look a bit dishevelled and less done up, its also super easy to do, which is great for busy mums like myself. All you really need to achieve this look is a comb to smooth your hair, and a couple of hairbands to hold it in place, as well as a shower with running water (like you didn't know that already). All you need to do is give your hair a good comb through after towel drying, its better to do this now, as your not going to brush through your waves in the morning, they look much better untouched! The Tangle Teezer is my go to choice! Then just plait your hair, its pretty simple and straightforward, and then tie with a hairband. I did two plaits, because it dries much quicker, but if you want bigger waves opt for a single french plait, but expect to wait a little longer for it to dry completely. In the morning after a lovely peaceful nights sleep (highly unlikely if your me) you can release your plaits, and spread your fingers through your luscious locks, which will feel all incredible and soft. I added in a little spritz of texture spray to emphasise the waves, for a more wind swept look, and used a couple of hair grips to pin it up at the sides, keeping that annoying single hair that always falls down, well out of the way. I also recommend using a good hairspray, so that the waves stay in place all day long. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and now I have a style I can do every time I wash my hair, without the added nasties of heat damage. Woohoo!

I've also been sporting a really healthy, glowing, bronze make-up look just lately. Suddenly I've gone all natural. This is the look I now do on a daily basis. I think it goes really well with the wavy hair, they add together nicely for a real summery feel. I've switched my black liner for a much softer bronze pencil, piled on the bronzer and highlighter for a healthy glow, and I've been using a lovely Shea butter lip balm in a honey shade, leaving my lips looking plump and shiny. I also like to pay special attention to my eyebrows now that the rest of my make-up has been dulled down. Here is a list of the products I use:

KMS California Hair Play Spray
No7 Instand Radiance Foundation
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Fair 1
Lord and Berry Bronzer
Sleek Contour Kit - Light
Sleek Eyebrow Kit - Dark
Rimmel London Scandel Eyes Pencil - Bronze
No7 Intense Volume Mascara - Black
Pixie Shea Butter Lip Balm - Honey Nectar

After noting down all the products I now use, I'm amazed at how much of my routine I've actually cut down. Hoozah to that! I'm loving the healthy, minimalist make-up and simple hairstyles for summer, and would love to hear what your new looks are for this time of year? What are your favourite hair and make-up products for the hotter months?

Tell me if you like the look, and three cheers for summer!

Spring/ Summer Primark Haul

Hello everyone! I have missed you all greatly. Just lately I haven't felt like blogging at all. I'm tired from looking after little Elijah (who can now get everywhere!), I feel like I never get a break, and then all of a sudden I got the urge to do a Primark Haul for my Youtube channel, so I did with little time to spare. I do hope you enjoy it, I know I have a lot to work on. I will always value my followers views and opinions, and completely welcome any constructive criticism you can give. Thank you for continuing to visit Amyloosworld. I really appreciate every single one of you, please don't let my lack of content make you think otherwise.

Enjoy the video x
